HERS IS THE FACE THAT LAUNCHES A THOUSAND CAMPAIGNS. AND NOW, KATRINA KAIF IS A LUX GIRL FOR THE LAUNCH OF THE NEW SOAP LUX PURPLE LOTUS & CREAM. SHE SPOKE TO t2 FROM DUBAI ABOUT BEAUTY AND BOYS
You are the latest entrant in the Lux family…
A long list of actresses has been associated with Lux. I am very happy to join that list.
Who is your favourite Lux girl?
I think maybe Juhi (Chawla).
Beauty for the skin…
I think one has to understand that it is not just from one angle… You can’t just think that if you use beauty products and eat junk food your skin will be great. Unless you are very, very special! It is not going to work that way. You have to take care of the diet, go to the gym and also watch the amount of water you drink. Protect your skin from the sun because sun damage is something that is hard to get rid of.
And beauty for the soul?
I think one has to understand that we have a responsibility towards other people. I think the person who feels love is always happy and is the most beautiful. The person who is in a position to give love to other people is the most beautiful.
What keeps you glowing?
Always getting good sleep and using a good moisturiser after cleansing your skin at night.
The most beautiful person you’ve met…
Hmm… probably Rekhaji.
Your beauty box has…
It has soap, of course! You can’t live without it. It has a sunscreen because I think you should always go out after applying sunscreen. It has lip balm. A powder because it tends to be quite hot. It helps your skin look matt. It has a perfume.
You are one of the most Googled celebrities…
I think it is very sweet and very nice that people have an interest in me and the work that I do. Without the support of your fans, you would have a very difficult time.
Things you love about being a celebrity…
I think there are so many wonderful things… we are given so much love and respect. We get a chance to enact these wonderful lives in our films, see wonderful places and provide security for ourselves and our families.
And the pitfalls?
None at all! I think sometimes you can feel hurt about certain things that are said. But I think that comes and goes very quickly. What is important is that there is no negative part about being a celebrity. It is important to understand that there is life beyond that.
Who to you makes a dateable guy, as opposed to a marriageable guy?
I would never date somebody if I didn’t think there is a possibility of marrying him.
What is your dream man like?
I think everybody has things they look for in a man whether it is reliability, trustability, loyalty and sense of humour.
