The celebrity couple – Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif – came together for a shoot and gave a ‘guarded’ interview for DT on the sets of their film, ‘Yuvvraaj’, directed by Subhash Ghai. Though they did open up their hearts for each other, after going strong for the last four years, is was not typically a romantic, full-throttle down-on-knees confession and proposal that many were waiting for!

Salman and Katrina have given hit films in the past, and the audiences have accepted them. However, ‘Yuvvraaj’ is the first film in which the two are paired opposite each other in a serious romance, and Katrina is nervous about how the audiences will take it. The film’s romantic aura will make the couple be judged!

Filmstars’ appearance on reality shows to promote their movies has become trend of late.

However, this time it was not just film star but ace Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and the sexy Katrina Kaif who made an appearance on the sets of Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009’ to promote their upcoming movie ‘Yuvvraaj’, which will hit theatres on Nov 21.

Even after years of being in Bollywood, there are only a few like Sallu whose presence alone can give magical value to the show.

Sallu and Katz looked picture perfect and sent the viewers into a tizzy.

Katrina Kaif, who has stuck to Salman through good times and bad for the last three years, can’t hide her excitement when you mention the film Yuvvraaj. Katrina, who had a successful run with Akshay Kumar this year, will be playing her real-life boyfriend’s love interest on-screen for the first time.

She says (over the phone from New York where she is currently shooting for Prakash Jha’s film), “I have done some movies with Salman in the past. But they were all comedies like Partner and cameos like Hello. I was not even paired opposite him in any of the films. This is the first time I am playing his romantic interest and we will be hitting the screens as a pair. I am really looking forward to the film doing really well.”

Subhash Ghai’s mega musical extravaganza YUVVRAAJ is all set to showcase its trailer to the audience along with the release of DRONA on 2^nd October.

The musical extravaganza ‘YUVVRAAJ’ stars Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Zayed Khan, Katrina Kaif and Boman Irani in the lead roles and has been shot in various picturesque locations of Europe, Mumbai etc.

The music has been scored by maestro A.R. Rahman while the lyrics have been written by Gulzar. This musical entertainer has been written by Subhash Ghai himself and sharing the screenplay with him is Sachin Bhowmick (KRISHH) and Kamlesh Pandey (Rang de Basanti). Kabir Lall is the cinematographer while the production design is being done by Omung Kumar.

Off screen Salman and Katrina are a hit pair. But on screen the two have not yet managed to light up the silver screen. And now after a gap of three years Kaif and Khan will be seen romancing each other in Subhash Ghai’s Yuvvraaj.

Post their first on screen pairing in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, the two have stayed away from pairing up in films even though they got together in real life. Partner followed after a couple of years but the film saw Katrina in love with Govinda instead. Before Yuvvraaj they will be seen in Hello but yet again the two aren’t paired together. Katrina plays God in Hello while Salman makes a cameo.
