And though Sallu still hasn’t split from Katrina Kaif, he’s grown quite a liking for her lookalikes.

He was quick to spot Kat’s body-double Zarine Khan on the sets of Yuvvraaj and immediately cast her as his heroine in the period drama Veer. Zarine is said to be an almost carbon copy of Katrina.

In a truly royal style, Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif doled out Rs 5 lakh among the crew members of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani . The reason – she was “happy”.

It was the last day of the shoot for Rajkumar Santoshi ’s ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ at Film City and Katrina was in a generous mood.

It’s reported that immediately after the completion of the shoot, the actress went inside her vanity van and came out with wads of cash, which she distributed among all the unit members (even spotboys), as the actress was happy and wanted to share her happiness with others. The sweet gesture became sweeter when she personally went to meet everyone of the crew and gave the money.

Last year was a pretty good one for Katrina with one super-hit, SINGH IS KINNG, one hit RACE and a flop in YUVRAAJ. HELLO too scraped through to safety, although Katrina’s role was a very short guest appearance.

Somebody should make a film on Katrina Kaif — the British girl who came in from the cold and within a couple of years, has emerged as the hottest and the highest paid heroine of Hindi cinema. The film could well be called Luck By Chance, only that the title has already been taken by Zoya Akhtar, who made her directorial debut with brother Farhan Akhtar as the hero. Farhan plays a wannabe star, who lands in Mumbai to discover that more than merit or hard work, it is plain luck that determines success in Bollywood.

She may have been more than just ‘good friends’ with Salman Khan but Katrina Kaif doesn’t deny that she shares good friendship with Akshay Kumar too. In a chat show with Farhan Akhtar, she admitted that Akshay is a good friend of hers as well.

“People think that I and Akshay are good friends. Yes, it is easy working together when it comes to Akshay but then our friendship is not the kind that I could have with my childhood or college friends”, said Katrina when asked about her friends. In fact she went on to add that best friend is in fact her Manager. She admitted though that Akshay has a great role to play in her successful Bollywood stint, especially when it comes to dedication.

Renowned painter M F Hussain has loved Subhash Ghai’s film Yuvvraaj so much that he has offered to make a painting on the movie.

Most likely, like Hussain’s previous muses Madhuri Dixit , Tabu and Amrita Rao , the painter will come up with a portrait of Yuvvraaj’s leading lady Katrina Kaif who looked enchantingly beautiful playing the cello in the movie.

So smitten is Hussain by Ghai’s movie that he has seen it twice and can’t stop praising it.

Often we hear of people who have worked with Salman praising him to heights. But none (presumably) knows the actor better than the gorgeous Katrina Kaif. She knows not just the actor’s strengths but also his weaknesses.

Speaking to a tabloid, Katrina revealed her beau’s biggest weakness.

“He (Salman) likes to act tough but it is so easy to win him over. Anyone who wants to get close to him only has to act defenceless, play the underdog and say, ‘I have no friends and no one loves me’. Bas, Salman will adopt that person,” Katrina is quoted as saying.

Katrina Kaif is infuriated with reports suggesting that Subhash Ghai has signed her for his new directorial venture “Main Yuvraj” on Salman Khan’s recommendation.

“It’s so stupid to think like that, specially now when I have ‘Namaste London’ to my credit. Actually, I met Subhashji long before. He had offered me a film. I think it was ‘Kisna’. Now for ‘Main Yuvraj’ he asked Vipul Shah to show him my work in ‘Namaste London’. That’s how I think he decided on me,” Katrina told IANS.
