Katrina Kaif

Bollywood’s leading actresses may bitch Katrina Kaif out, they may say her 20-minute role in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti may not amount to much, but the filmmaker is over the moon with the actress. And, so grateful is Jha, that he does not want to hold a success party for the film on June 23, because Kat is not available on that date.

Katrina’s Influence

June 28th, 2010

Katrina_KaifKatrina Kaif has been almost dictating terms. However, to achieve this, she had to take a lot of efforts. Her choices of films have been quite astounding. She has hardly put a foot wrong. The same is her influence in her latest released flick ‘Rajneeti’. Prakash Jha wanted to celebrate the success of the film and he wanted all to be a part of it.
Kat is shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’ in Spain. However, as she is in Spain, it was not possible for Katrina to fly down to Mumbai. Prakash Jha was keen to have Katrina for the party. But, the lady who gives work more importance was in no mood to take party over work. Dedication is success, after all.

Katrina’s Favorite Dad!

June 23rd, 2010

Katrina KaifGuess, who is the favorite dad of Katrina Kaif? Quite a weird question, but it has a very simple answer. In the super hit movie, Raajneeti, Prakash Jha got the most handsome dad for her.

While deciding the characters for the smashing hit movie, Raajniti, Prakash Jha introduced Ravi Kemmu to Katrina. He told that, Ravi is going to play the role of her dad in the movie.

It was funny for everyone, that Katrina didn’t believe it for the first time, but later when Prakash Jha reconfirmed it, she got amazed. It was because of the Ravi’s personality and looks.

Katrina not hot or sexy!

June 22nd, 2010

Katrina not hot or sexy!Raajneeti saw Katrina Kaif in her first de-glam avatar… Yes. But know what…

I dislike makeup. So when Prakash Jha (filmmaker) said I have to play a politician without pancakes.

I was more than happy. But the words that are mostly associated with you are hot and sexy…

You know, I personally feel that I am not hot or sexy. You have to have an appeal that will make you special.

My appeal lies in what the audiences think about me. All you have to do is try not to disappoint them.

Humility is her second name, courtesy her best companion. She comes across as honest, frank, genuine and largely undiplomatic. She doesn’t parry a question either. If she isn’t able to meet the time for her interview, she would start her message with humbling words like …“my sincere apologies…”, a trait quite uncommon in Bollywood.

Who said Katrina Kaif cannot speak Hindi properly? Wait for UTV Motion Pictures’ (co-produced and directed by Prakash Jha) Rajneeti in which the actress has reportedly worked hard to get her Hindi pronunciation and diction right.

Kat, who has nine hits in her repertoire of 13 films, was aware that her meteoric rise had shaken up rivals. And, looking for something to fault, they had made her pathetic Hindi the butt of most barbs. Bollywood has had ruling divas who were language imperfect earlier with Hema Malini and Sridevi being top of the list. And then there was Kat.

Katrina Kaif is set to take on a very interesting role that no leading actress in Bollywood has played in recent memory. She is set to don the army fatigues and play a bumbling new recruit in a film to be produced by her only.

But isn’t the role of a woman in the army an odd one for a pretty woman like Katrina.

“I’ve always loved doing things which I’m told girls can’t or shouldn’t do,” Katrina is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
