Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is down with jaundice and missing from the promotions for her latest outing “De Dana Dan”. And her co-star Akshay Kumar was prompt in wishing her speedy recovery.

Rumours were rife that the actress was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai Monday night, where she was diagnosed with jaundice and has been advised complete bed rest for a while.

Asked if it were true, Akshay said: “Katrina is down with jaundice… We are missing her and hope she gets well soon.”

“In the film my character is crazy about Katrina. But he’s poor and she’s rich. So he has to find ways to impress her. For this he even commits a crime which goes wrong…the film is a non-stop comedy,” Akshay said about the movie.

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have marked the wrap-up of De Dana Dan’s shoot with a promotional number. Shot at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai during a six-day schedule, the track choreographed by Ganesh Hegde is titled Main baarish kar doon paison ki. Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif, who was wearing a sari while shooting for another song, had a little wardrobe disaster when her sari shrunk in length after getting drenched in the artificial rain. Director Priyadarshan ensured that the shoot went on smoothly by opting for close-ups of the actress, thus avoiding the need to arrange for another similar sari. The schedule also saw them teaming up with other lead actors – Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Sameera Reddy and Neha Dhupia – to finish patchwork scenes for the film. The Screen photographer spotted Sameera Reddy arriving at the studio in a bright, chirpy dress, just the right thing to drive away the monsoon blues.

Apparently confounding her own comments, Katrina looked startling at the Audi Q5 Launch Party at the India Bulls centre in South Mumbai. Wearing an off-the-shoulder blue tiered body-hugging dress with crisp black belt and shoes, she probably frustrated the organisers by constantly dragging people’s attention away from the car.

Katrina Kaif looked angelic in a white glittery draped dress at the launch of Spice Entertainment, a new venture of the Spice group, at Hotel Trident.

The Spice mobile ambassador’s empire waist dress had cap sleeves, revealing scoop neckline and a veil cascading down her back.

Katrina, 24, accessorized with pearl chandelier earrings. Her gorgeous long hair, styled in loose curls, draped her right shoulder. She wore pearl pink lip color, pink lip gloss, black eyeliner and sweeps of mascara.

The event featured a fashion show by celebrity designer Suneet Verma for which Kangana Ranaut was the show stopper!

Riya Sen’s sultry looks are enough to scorch the screen and now the sexy actress will be sporting a Barbie doll look for her upcoming film ‘Paying Guest’ produced by Mukta Arts.

We hear Riya had earlier been offered Neha Dhupia’s role (with whom she gets along quite well) in the film but she didn’t deem it fit and instead chose another role – that of an oversensitive, overdramatic girl who is overtly suspicious of her boyfriend!

Actors Katrina Kaif and Neha Dhupia got along quite well on the sets of Singh Is Kinng . Difficult to digest? Well, we guess bonding over food ensues in friendship bonds after all. While the unit was shooting in Punjab for twenty days, the whole team hogged on authentic Punju food and returned to Mumbai fatter. Director Anees Bazmi tells us, “Most of the people on the sets were north Indians and given a chance they loved eating Punjabi food. For the first few days, the girls were a little apprehensive but later they also decided to give their diet a break and try out the special Punjabi dishes there. And the cold only upped our appetite.” So it was lassi, aloo da prantha and lots of paneer for our two hotties in those cold moments.
