In fact, her role requires her to speak in chaste Hindi in the flick and Katrina was all game for it. Heard this?? Katrina Kaif, the sizzling hot oomph queen of bollywood who was set to record her performance for an award function was made to wait the whole night by her beau Salman Khan and ‘Kaminey’ Shahid Kapur, making Kat furious with rage.

Katrina was seen leaving the Yashraj studios in the morning after canning her act at around six, while she had been there from the evening and was expected to go for other work. Sources present at the venue say that it all started because of Salman Khan, who came directly from Wai where he had been shooting for Arbaaz Khan’s ambitious flick ‘Dabang’ opposite newbie Sonakshi Sinha. As Katrina was already present there, Salman Khan’s presence was initially taken as a supportive gesture for his ladylove.

Katrina, who has delivered a string of hits playing the urban hip young woman, gets a makeover in Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti. Dressed in cotton saris and speaking chaste Hindi, this is a challenging role that she’s looking forward to. But the Hindi is passe now for the actress, whose accented Hindi meant that her many early films had to be dubbed.

Katrina Kaif will be joining the brigade of divas like Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra as she has signed to be the brand ambassador of Lux soap.

The company, which today launched Lux Purple Lotus and Cream said the actress will be endorsing the new variant.

“We are very pleased to have Katrina Kaif on board, to endorse our new Lux Purple Lotus and Cream variant, enriched with essential beauty oils,” HUL Vice-President (Home and Skin Cleansing) Sudhanshu Vats said in a statement.

The actress reported to have been signed on as the new brand ambassador of Lux. With this, Kat has joined the bandwagon of those few beauties who are associated with the beauty product and over which Kat said to be feeling on cloud nine.

According to the beauty, not every actress in Bollywood has been associated with Lux. A select few actresses, who they felt suited the brand right (have been associated with it) and they all have been actresses of great stature with wonderful careers and some wonderful work, Katrina further said.

After Ranbir Kapoor signed up with Panasonic to promote their television sets, it is now Katrina Kaif’s turn to promote washing machines from the same brand. Although the actress has not yet shot for the television commercial, Kats has shot for the print campaign, which is already out.

A brand manager of an advertising agencies in Mumbai, declared, “Brand managers are forever looking out for a good pairing. Saif and Kareena were signed for the Airtel digital campaign, while Ash and Abhishek were roped in for the Lux commercial. The latest buzz word in the ad circle is the pairing of Ranbir and Katrina. The two have a hit film under their belt, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, so it helps us to take the pairing to the next level.”
