Singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar, is fondly called the Prince Of Pop and by some, the Shah Rukh Khan of Pakistan. But these days, the actor is busy wrapping up his Bollywood film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Ask him about his co-stars in the film and he quickly adds, “Katrina is very easy to work with. In spite of being a big star she has no airs about herself. She is like any pretty young girl, a lot of fun and very jovial on the sets, and a thorough professional. Imran Khan is a lot of fun too. And unlike the rumours suggested, we both got along very well and had a blast during the shoots.”

The actor, who shot to fame with his debut Bollywood flick Tere Bin Laden, is now concentrating on his acting career. Besides the Yash Chopra film, he is also looking at a few other interesting projects. Ask him about his rumoured cousin — non other than actor Aamir Khan and he says, “Not at all! I don’t know who started this. He is a very distant relative, in fact from my wife’s side of the family. I’ve met him only twice till date,” he reveals.

Quiz him about his music taking a backseat, and he says, “I practice whenever I can and the one thing that is always with me is my guitar. Music will always be a part of me. I am doing playback singing and my album was just launched. So music can never take a backseat.” Prod him about being called the Shah Rukh Khan of Pakistan and he says, “I’m not Shah Rukh khan. I am an artist in my zone. In Pakistan, music is bigger than films, which is why I’ve been tagged so, but I don’t think so.

When the ‘Dhobi Ghat’ actor, Aamir Khan will pair up with the ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ hottie, Katrina Kaif, then one can undoubtedly look forward to an exceptional display of beauty with perfection on the silver screen.

Tabloids have revealed that Mr. Perfectionist and the Barbie doll have been zeroed in as the lead pair in an imminent motion picture, to be produced under a reputed banner.

The preceding year, the two high-flying stars, Aamir and Katrina had posed for the cover page of a magazine, flaunting the look of the celebrated on-screen couple Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. The duo looked awesome.

Formerly, when asked why he didn’t pair with the bombshell, Aamir had said that he was not offered any film with Kaif, so far.

Last year, in a conversation with the TOI, Aamir said, “Katrina is a huge star. But no filmmaker has come forward with a proposal to cast us.”

The other reason behind Aamir not working with Kat was that she was his best pal, Salman Khan’s ladylove in earlier times and thus, the ‘Ghajini’ actor was a little unenthusiastic to romance her on-screen.

But now, as Salman and Katrina have parted ways, Aamir has no hesitation in working with Katrina.

A source said, “Now that Salman and Kat have split, Aamir may team up with the Bollywood diva.”

‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ from ‘Tees Maar Khan’ is currently doing the rounds from desktop to desktop as the voyeur fans of Katrina take a sneak peek into her skimpy attires.

With a sexed up appeal and trimmed down body Katrina is looking ravishing in this song which marks her foray into the territories of item numbers. Katrina, as Farah had promised, looks extremely delicious and delightful in the song which is bathed in naughty raunchiness.

Her short dresses and milky complexioned body spells oomph from the beginning. As the viewer runs through the song, he comes across at a scene where Katrina looks ravishingly provocative wrapped in satin sheet.

But can we compare it to the famous ‘Munni badnaam hui, darling tere liye’ from Dabangg. The item number by Malaika Arora Khan was a big hit in discotheques and parties and had the nation grooving to it. Malaika has already proved her mettle in this department and is, undeniably, the best item dancer in Bollywood.

In fact, the super success of ‘Dabangg’ can be partially credited to the popularity of this song. But has Katrina surpassed her in her own game? Well, frankly speaking, Katrina has a long way to go before she can match the longevity of Malaika as a scorch dancer. But, yes, she has got to a flying start. For the moment, we are still ‘jhandu balm’ to Malaika! What say?

As ‘Tees Maar Khan’ hits theatres this Christmas, all you Salman-Katrina fans would get to see them together for a few brief minutes in a qawwali song choreographed by Farah Khan. The song is a major USP of the film and the qawwali theme simply reflects the trademark of a Farah film.

Now, even though, Salman and Katrina had parted ways before the song was shot, Farah manages to bring them on together and, certainly, there was no animosity brewing. In fact, Salman and Akshay played pranks on the set and behaved wildly.

At one point, they took a towel each and broke out in the famous towel dance that has its roots in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.’ Katrina later told the tabloid that both of them were behaving like some mischievous teenagers.

Katrina, by the way, looks resplendent in the song and mirrors the style of the elegant Meena Kumari. The film is making some rave waves and has been earning humongous hype and hoopla as it inches closer to the cinema halls.

Very few know that Bollywood’s leading lady Katrina Kaif loves to dance and is always keen on learning new styles of dance.

Says Katrina, “I enjoy dancing immensely”.

Though her last two releases Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rajneeti didn’t see her performing in out and out dance numbers. She is ready to get back to her passion in Director/Choreographer Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan.

Katrina Kaif will be seen shaking a leg and hip to a foot tapping number in the film especially choreographed for her by Farah.

Reveals a source, “In the song ‘Sheela Ki Jawani’ you will see Katrina Kaif belly dancing under the training of a Brazilian expert. Since she is so passionate about dancing Farah has decided to show audiences how good a dancer she really is”.

Katrina Kaif has struck a unique deal with her Tees Maar Khan director Farah Khan. The two start shooting for a new song in August. While Farah has promised Kat that it will be the year’s biggest hit, the actress has promised her director that she would share a certain percentage with her if she gets shows because of the song.

She says I will get to perform it at all the shows in 2011. In return, I have assured her that if the song turns out great and I get to do lots of shows next year, I will give her a percentage from every show where I dance to this song. It’s a unique deal because no star promises their director a percentage from their shows.”

Even though it goes down a month from now, Katrina is all excited with what she would be wearing. She reveals, “I will wear short ghaghra cholis or short tops showing my navel and dhoti. For the last 10 days, I have been training four times a week for two hours for the song with my trainer Yasmin Karachiwala.”

The song will have Katrina doing sensuous stuff like belly dancing and aerial dancing with silky fabrics, a first for the actress. “It’s a take off dances from various musical plays and I have been rehearsing a lot. There’s a western singer who performs on rope very sensuously and my dance will be something like that, but we won’t use cables or harnesses.” Katrina is carrying a bosu with her. “Apart from the workout program that I am following. I am carrying a bosu-a stability ball one uses for push-ups and lunges.”

Farah Khan says about the song, “It’s a fusion like Madhuri Dixit meets Beyonc © and along the lines of the erotic Cirque de Sole. It’s raunchy and erotic but not acrobatic. Katrina will sport a smoldering Indian look — with nose ring, knotted cholis, and kaajal and get a makeover. Kat plays a wannabe actress so the song is about her audition to get a film. It’s her introductory item song. It’s a rocking number with an earthy where music directors Vishal-Shekhar have used a live street folk band that play at festivals. Sunidhi Chauhan has sung the song.”
