Fact is, the stunner that she is, Katrina has beauty and pizzazz to hold her place opposite any of the Khans in the industry. We’ve already seen her do so with Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan in films. She has rubbed shoulders will Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan as well, though a film with the two is yet to happen.

Katrina Kaif is as diplomatic and politically correct as an actress could get is common knowledge. However, her disdain towards Kareena Kapoor became known to people at the recently held Star Screen Awards. The organizers of the show asked Kareena to present an award to Katrina. And the fact that her competitors Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor have many films lined up for release is giving her sleepless nights. According to sources, while Katrina has mostly done romantic comedies in the past, she will be entering a new territory this year with Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti. She now wants to do more films that are issue-based, like the ones that Madhur Bhandarkar makes. She has expressed her desire to even work with Bhandarkar, as the lead actresses in his films always win awards.

At the Star Screen Awards, Kareena Kapoor won the Best Actress (Popular) award for her spunky turn in 3 Idiots and Vidya Balan won the Best Actress (Critics’ Choice) award for her splendid performance in Paa leaving Katrina Kaif miffed.

A source tells us, ‘Katrina Kaif had New York, Blue, Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani and De Dana Dan as her releases in 2009, out of which Ajab and New York were big hits. She was nominated for her natural performance in New York but Vidya Balan beat her to it in the Critics’ category. Katz felt it unfair that her achievement, that of maximum hits in one year, was going unrecognized. She was scheduled to perform for the televised version of the event but she was upset and felt left out.’

The latest news from the Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif camp is that the hit Jodi of 2009 have now been signed for the magic to be recreated on screen in the film titled ‘Rockstar’ by none other than director Imtiaz Ali. After making ‘Jab We Met’ with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, ‘Love Aaj Kal’ with Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone this film maker has caught the bull by the horns by tagging in the most romantic and successful jodi on screen in the year gone by.
There are news flying around that since the two that is Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir had been negotiating on working together since quite sometime, it was only this script of ‘Rockstar’ that Ranbir found interesting enough to work on, thus it was finalized. What is interesting is that Saif Ali Khan who is anyway a Rockstar with his guitar strumming and all that was very much interested in doing the film, hence he was practicing for the part since 2008. Even Shahid had an eye on that one and was on the verge of learning to strum the guitar for the role.

Similarly, an annual survey by Airtel mobile has also placed perfectionist Aamir Khan, far ahead of his competitors King Khan Shah Rukh and macho man Salman Khan, in the matter of mobile download. The survey analyzed the data compiled from 116 million users of mobile phone from across the country.
