Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is down with jaundice and missing from the promotions for her latest outing “De Dana Dan”. And her co-star Akshay Kumar was prompt in wishing her speedy recovery.

Rumours were rife that the actress was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai Monday night, where she was diagnosed with jaundice and has been advised complete bed rest for a while.

Asked if it were true, Akshay said: “Katrina is down with jaundice… We are missing her and hope she gets well soon.”

Not long after taking an apparent potshot at Kareena Kapoor, Bollywood A-lister Katrina Kaif on Sunday claimed to be a “big fan” of the Kambakkht Ishq actress.

Katrina had recently said in an interview that she doesn’t need to wear a short skirt or show her legs to get audiences to go for her film.

Speculations have been rife that the comment was pointed at Kareena for her skimpy outfits in Akshay Kumar starrer Kambakkht Ishq.

One can recall the producers going on a two month strike to meet their demands few weeks back. Now after the strike has got over with their demands met, Yash Raj Film’s latest hit New York is the first film to get the benefit under the new terms that were agreed on between producer and distributors and the six national multiplex chains.
Our trade source elaborates, “Since the John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer New York has emerged as a hit, it will get a 2.5 percent revenue bonus in its first and second week as it has crossed the threshold level of 17.50 crore from the six national multiplex chains. It is learnt that the distributor shares of New York including the bonus are 14.50 crore in week one and 4.50 crore in week two giving it a 19 crore share in two weeks.”
The source further adds, “It is not just New York but even Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakkht Ishq will enjoy the bonus benefits as well. Kambakkht Ishq too has crossed the Rs. 17.50 crore thresholds from the national multiplex chains.”

It seems like there’s yet another catfight brewing in Tinseltown – this time it is Sallu’s girl Katrina Kaif taking a rather nasty swipe at rival Kareena Kapoor.

According to the latest reports, Kareena Kapoor will also sport a “Barbie doll-look” in the action thriller.

Katrina’s make-up artist Mallika Bhat says “One of Kareena’s looks inthe film is inspired by Barbie doll.”

In Kambakkht Ishq, which is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kareena stars alongside superstar Akshay Kumar who plays a Hollywood stuntman. It also stars Hollywood biggies like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards.
