Katrina Kaif is working with all the three Khans – Salman (‘Ek Tha Tiger’), Aamir (‘Dhoom 3′) and Shah Rukh (Yash Raj’s romantic drama also starring Anushka Sharma) – and now there might be more starry associations up ahead for the actress. Apparently, she’d been approached to star in Rohit Shetty’s next opposite SRK, but the twist in the tale is that Kareena Kapoor is also supposedly keen on the same role.

Kareena is, of course, a Rohit Shetty favourite, having starred in the ‘Golmaal’ movies. But Kat’s stock has risen tremendously after her consecutive hits (‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’) and it is rumoured that she might be a better fit for the new film from the hotshot ‘Singham’ director. This new project is believed to be an action thriller.

Meanwhile, Kareena is currently celebrating the success of ‘RA.One’ in which she starred opposite Shah Rukh. Bebo and SRK are close friends, and he has admitted that she got the heroine’s role in his home production simply because she said that she wanted it. Priyanka Chopra and Asin had been considered for the part in the early stages of conceptualisation for ‘RA.One’.

So who will win this competition and star in Shah Rukh’s next movie? Katrina Kaif or Kareena Kapoor? Watch this space for updates.

Actress Katrina Kaif is upset with a report that she cancelled the shoot for Yash Raj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan because her favourite make-up man Subhash was unavailable as he had booked his dates for Anushka Sharma.

Katrina, 27, said people should not pull her down by writing such false stories and should give her respect considering her contribution to the industry.

“That was something really disheartening. I am not that kind of person who ever stood up and says, ‘Look what I have done, look at me’ or asked for any kind of respect or recognition or walked around with any kind of ego.

“But when I see people stoop down to that level and write these kind of stories, that’s the only time I feel that I am not asking for recognition, but a little bit of respect after these years I have worked in the industry. Please don’t pull me down to this level,” Katrina told IANS.

The actress entered Bollywood in 2003 with Boom. Though Boom bombed, she went on to deliver hits like Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, Race and Raajneeti.

Releasing Sep 9, the directorial debut of Ali Abbas Zafar, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a comedy where Katrina is teamed up with Imran Khan and Pakistani singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar.

The current favourite of YRF, Katrina, will be also seen in their Ek Tha Tiger opposite Salman Khan and Yash Chopra’s next undeclared directorial venture opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan. She has teamed up with Anushka in the latter.

“Anushka is a lovely girl, starting off her career now,” she said.

Most probably. It was only recently that actress Katrina Kaif, respecting her penchant for keeping personal and professional factors separate, had agreed to star opposite rumoured ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Muhkerji’s next directorial venture. The film, being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, would have cashed in on the crackling chemistry between the two young actors and also the curiosity about their reported ‘nocturnal activities’.

With her assent to act in the film, Katrina had actually put cold water over the head of other two actresses; Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, who wanted to share screen space with Ranbir. However, now Katrina is reconsidering her decision due to ‘date problems’. Apparently, Katrina is finding it difficult to manage her dates for the film and is considering to opt out of the project. This will undoubtedly up the spirits of her other two contenders.

According to sources, it is Deepika Padukone who is most likely to be cast opposite Ranbir if Katrina decides to quit. Guess we will have to just wait and watch.

Yash Chopra’s next directorial project has been creating a lot of buzz even before the final casting has been announced, and when it’s an YRF casting, every B-town actor awaits a phone call.

So far it’s said Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif will be starring in the movie, and recent reports claimed actress Kajol would also be appearing in the movie, but nothing has been confirmed.
Now the latest news from B-town is, Yash Raj Film’s recent lucky mascot, Anushka Sharma will be playing second fiddle to Kartina Kaif in the movie.

So why Anushka again? Sources reveal, ‘The script requires a strong actor for the second lead in the film. Yash and Aditya were scouting around and then thought that Anushka seemed to be an obvious choice, for more than one reason. The role required an actress, who looks younger than Katrina Kaif. And few actresses fit that requirement. Anushka was just the right choice. Plus, Yash Chopra is really fond of her.’

We wonder if Kat is happy with the tag of looking older that Anushka in the movie? Either way Anushka is a fantastic actress, in fact one of the best newcomer talents Bollywood has witnessed in a long time.

It’s no doubt that Anushka feels at home when she works with the YRF team, there’s definitely a bond and if she is signed on; this will be the star’s fifth film with the banner, not forgetting she will be listed as being one of their most popular heroines.

Contrary to reports of Anushka Sharma starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s film, a few recent developments have led the Wake Up Sid director once again to original choice Katrina Kaif’s door. But Kat it seems, is still to welcome him in wholeheartedly.

The director, Milap Zaveri had to drop his plans of studding stars in his forthcoming debut film, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.

He had announced his plans to line up certain superstars like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Anushka Sharma for a few shots in his romantic fantasy , love story of an alien. The chaos had to revolve around Riteish Deshmukh and Ruslaan Mumtaz who are playing an assistant director and a superstar respectively.

But the delay in the shoots could not get the director with the biggies dates due to their busy schedule. So he had to drop all the censors on Friday of casting the actresses – Kat, Deepika, Vidya and Anushka in the project despite their thorough interest.

On the other side Priyanka Chopra has recently got free from her Anjaana Anjaani shoots in the US and thus was able to look forward to the guest appearance in the film.

Now PC would be seen with the stars like Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Sajid Khan, Boman Irani and Amrita Rao in this ‘alien love story’. However the ladies – Katrina, Deepika, Vidya and Anushka – have been really supportive to the director and promised him Milap to be there at the premiere.

The film starring Jacqueline Fernandez as the gorgeous alien and Deshmukh as loser-in-love is all set to release on 9th April.

Director Milap Zaveri was interested in showing various actresses in his film Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai and wanted the beautiful Katrina Kaif and gorgeous Deepika Padukone to make cameo appearances. But except Priyanka Chopra no one has the dates to shoot for the cameos. Bechara director!

His wish list included Katrina, Deepika, Vidya Balan and Anushka Sharma along with Priyanka. But the unavailability of dates from the actresses has thrown a spanner in the director’s plan as he has to send the film to the Censor Board by this Friday.

Only Priyanka kept the word and shot for the cameo just after she reached India after shooting Anjaana Anjaani in the US. And whether things will sort out with other actresses is not known. But the director is happy that Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan and Karan Johar will make guest appearances in his film.

The movie starring Ritesh Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez will release on April 9.

Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali is frantically scouting for a leading lady to enact a Kashmiri gal in his forthcoming ‘Rockstar’, alongside Ranbir Kapoor.

Imtiaz Ali was desirous of casting an actress who could look Kashmiri and be conversant in Hindi. Katrina Kaif scored with her luscious looks, but failed miserably in the diction department.

Katrina Kaif’s Loss could well turn out to be Anushka Sharma’s gain. Reportedly, Ms. Sharma has been making consistent rounds of Imtiaz Ali’s office in the hope that the curly haired director will rope her in for ‘Rockstar’.
