Katrina Kaif is presently in the US shooting for her Yash Raj film, New York directed by Kabir Khan (Kabul Express) starring John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

It has been over a month now since she is out in the US and before that she was busy shooting for over a month in Ooty for Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani along side Ranbir Kapoor. So in total its been two months that she is away from her home.

“I am feeling homesick now” admits Katrina. “I have been busy working and have had no time to meet my family for a long time now. I really miss home.”

The actor, who’s shooting for Kabir Khan’s film there, doesn’t wish to miss out on the festive spirit

Katrina Kaif, who is presently shooting for Kabir Khan’s film Love in New York in the US (co-starring John Abraham), misses not being in India during Diwali. To make up for this, the actor has thought of throwing a party for her friends and the team of her film.  “I am really going to miss the Diwali celebrations. So, I am going to have a small party here in the US,” says the actor adding that she ‘just happened to think about it’.

Katrina Kaif it is said has signed a two film deal with UTV recently. The first film will be directed by director duo Abbas Mustan while the details of the second film are being worked on. The actress had earlier signed a deal with Studio 18.

Of late the issue of spat between them was related to Salman Khan’s artistic skills. Salman Khan has been trying his hand at painting portraits and has presented paintings to fellow stars. He gave a pic of Raj Kapoor to Ranbir Kapoor and he also painted a picture of Drona for Abhishek Bachchan recently. Salman has won a lot of friends with his warm gesture.

Katrina Kaif’ is currently shooting with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh for Kabir Khan’s film, produced by Yashraj. The tight schedule has kept her away from home for over Two months.

“I am feeling homesick,” she said. Katrina recalls the time her pretty sister Isabelle had come down to Town to spend Some quality time with her. “Isabelle was on a vacation. She flew Down here to spend sometime with me. I miss my family a lot. I miss my Home. But what to do my professional commitments keep me busy. I am Glad that my family flies down to meet me whenever they can.”

Renowned Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra said that she would not work in those films in which she would be presented merely as a showpiece.

Priyanka, whose film ‘Fashion’ is going to be released next week, said that taking credit of such hit films in which she has acted in only four to five songs and 15-20 scenes is of no use for her.

Miss Chopra said that if you acted in seven films a year and all of them get hit but your role in those films has been merely of a showpiece then you cannot be called a good actress.

Katrina Kaif is away from home, thousand of miles away in the U.S on Diwali day.

She misses her family and firends on this special occasion and to compensate she is throwing a small party for friends in New York.

Katrina Kaif, who has stuck to Salman through good times and bad for the last three years, can’t hide her excitement when you mention the film Yuvvraaj. Katrina, who had a successful run with Akshay Kumar this year, will be playing her real-life boyfriend’s love interest on-screen for the first time.

She says (over the phone from New York where she is currently shooting for Prakash Jha’s film), “I have done some movies with Salman in the past. But they were all comedies like Partner and cameos like Hello. I was not even paired opposite him in any of the films. This is the first time I am playing his romantic interest and we will be hitting the screens as a pair. I am really looking forward to the film doing really well.”

After being part of most major hits of this year and last, Katrina Kaif is having the time of her life.

Presently she is promoting her latest, Singh is Kinng. When asked about her state of mind, she says, “Right now, I’ve been running from pillar to post to talk about Singh is Kinng and I actually feel very tired. But I guess it is optimism! It’s the positivity I feel around me and nothing else,” says Katrina.

Though Beau Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan cannot stand each other , Katrina Kaif is not resisting from projects costarring Shah Rukh Khan.

For one she is set to perform in the Temptations Reloaded tour of Shah Rukh Khan that is set to roll in Dubai from Mid October while Salman is away shooting in London.

Now she has given her nod to a new project with Yash Raj Films starring Shah Rukh Khan. Her acceptance came on the day Salman left for his 40-day shoot in Paris and London for Vipul Shah’s ‘London Dreams’. The movie also stars Big B and small B, to add to the fireworks.
