With a Katrina Kaif item number for the Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt starrer, the hype for this 2012 mega star movie is expected to go bigger.

Agneepath will be releasing on 26th of January, 2012, where 2 biggies of Bollywood would be battling for revenge on the silver screen.

Imagine the Indian Barbie Doll, Katrina Kaif, being a guardian angel to a group of abandoned kids! Well, that’s what the pretty actress is doing – in spite of her busy schedule shooting, rehearsing for an item number for a forthcoming film, dancing at awards functions or endorsing products… pouring all her love, affection and attention to bring cheer in to the lives of these few unfortunate children.

If you thought ‘Sheila Ki Jawani…’ is what goes with Katrina, then you are completely mistaken. There’s a very different side to the young and pretty Katrina which is kept under wraps, a well kept secret, that will be revealed on India’s Glam Diva, a platform that will bring the most ravishing, talented and deserving divas to the fore.

Pretty Karina will compete with the most gorgeous women from the entertainment industry for the title.

A unit member of a film she is working on reveals how Kat spends most of her time…

…in front of the mirror! No, the girl is not playing ‘Mirror, Mirror on the wall’ or patching up her blemishes – she has none! This behaviour is imputed to the dancing bug that has bitten the enthusiastic girl, who seems to be jumping at every opportunity to perform an item number.

While Katrina Kaif’s moves in last year’s hit song “Sheila Ki Jawani” were widely praised, some in the Hindi film fraternity found the entire number distasteful. Those same critics are shaking their heads again at the announcement that not only is Katrina dancing to “Chikni Chameli” in Karan Johar’s remake of Agneepath, but that the item number will be even raunchier and ruder than Sheila.

In “Sheila Ki Jawani” (the only memorable thing to come out of the trainwreck that was Tees Maar Khan), Katrina Kaif showed off her newly acquired belly dancing skills and declared “I’m too sexy for you–ain’t nobody got a body like Sheila!”

In “Chikni Chameli” Katrina will no doubt go even further. “Chikni” is slang for a super sexy girl, so expect to see Kat dress the part. What doesn’t sound sexy about the number is that it will feature Katrina opposite Sanjay Dutt. While Sanju is a great many things, sexy he is not (at least not as much as he used to be). His Agneepath avatar looks terrifying–it’ll be interesting to see how the song comes together.

For his part, Karan Johar is thrilled. This week he tweeted his excitement about what he’s surely hoping will be the hyped item number of the season:

“Katrina Kaif is doing a full on item song in Agneepath… It’s a total swinging number called ‘Chikni Chameli’… we shoot it in a week!!”

Admitting that she has been over-worked and over-exposed, Katrina Kaif has decided to take it easy for a while.

It was expected that Katrina wouldn’t be left in peace on the sets of Ek Tha Tiger, especially so since she is working opposite Salman Khan in the Kabir Khan-directed venture. But Katrina has kept such a low profile that nothing has been forthcoming from that end.

Sources on the sets say Kat has immersed herself in work, and hardly mingles with people around her. What’s more, she will try and wrap up the shoot early, so she can set off on a much-delayed vacation.

“She has been planning a holiday with her sisters for a while now, but it has never worked out. She is now looking forward to it though,”

She has even decided on a complete break from the media. “She was upset over speculations that she is back with Salman. She confided in a friend about these misgivings of hers,” a source says.

“But having insisted on a complete break from the media, she is content playing the suspense game.”

If you thought Bollywood hotties Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra are only on the wish list of young actors then you’ll be surprised to know even veterans equally desire to romance the two happening ladies on-screen. And one such actor who wishes to work with the two reigning actors of tinsel town is none other than the macho man of Bollywood Dharmendra.

When asked to the yesteryear icon which Bollywood hottie among the current lot he finds desirable and would love to share screen space with, he revealed, ”Priyanka and Katrina are best among today’s lot. Wish they had been existent during my era. Koi aisi kahani mil jaaye Toh bada nasha aajaaye unke saath kaam karne mai (laughs).”

After beguiling a whole generation of actresses on-screen with his dazzling persona and striking performance in his heyday it would be treat watching Dharmji pairing up with the two leading ladies of B-town if it ever materializes.

Katrina Kaif is working with all the three Khans – Salman (‘Ek Tha Tiger’), Aamir (‘Dhoom 3′) and Shah Rukh (Yash Raj’s romantic drama also starring Anushka Sharma) – and now there might be more starry associations up ahead for the actress. Apparently, she’d been approached to star in Rohit Shetty’s next opposite SRK, but the twist in the tale is that Kareena Kapoor is also supposedly keen on the same role.

Kareena is, of course, a Rohit Shetty favourite, having starred in the ‘Golmaal’ movies. But Kat’s stock has risen tremendously after her consecutive hits (‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’) and it is rumoured that she might be a better fit for the new film from the hotshot ‘Singham’ director. This new project is believed to be an action thriller.

Meanwhile, Kareena is currently celebrating the success of ‘RA.One’ in which she starred opposite Shah Rukh. Bebo and SRK are close friends, and he has admitted that she got the heroine’s role in his home production simply because she said that she wanted it. Priyanka Chopra and Asin had been considered for the part in the early stages of conceptualisation for ‘RA.One’.

So who will win this competition and star in Shah Rukh’s next movie? Katrina Kaif or Kareena Kapoor? Watch this space for updates.

We have all loved Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s pairing in films. Time and again the reel life couple have made us fall in love with love. In fact their jodi is considered one of the most successful jodis of Bollywood. But it seems brit beauty Katrina Kaif is all set to take Kajol’s place!

Kat is being paired with King Khan in two forthcoming films. Yash Chopra’s directorial venture will star SRK, Katrina and Anushka Sharma in the lead. Needless to say, this one will be a classic romance.

Latest development is that Katrina is also being considered to star opposite SRK in Rohit Shetty’s next. Katrina will however have to fight it out with Kareena Kapoor, a Rohit Shetty favourite, before she bags the coveted project.

Speaking to a daily, a source close to Rohit revealed, “Katrina Kaif is at an all time career high. Currently, she is working with the three biggest Khans – Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir. Rohit Shetty’s action film that goes on floors in May next year will be her fourth consecutive film with a Khan.”

Though Rohit has approached Katrina, Rohit is also contemplating on casting Kareena. And why not? Kareena is also having a successful run at the BO and her pairing with SRK in ‘RA.One’ has been much appreciated.

“Kareena has worked with SRK in ‘Asoka’ and ‘RA.One’. She shares a good on-screen chemistry with him. Also, director Rohit Shetty is very fond of her. She has been his chosen one for the successful Golmaal franchise. She is the obvious choice for the project,” said the source.

Industry insiders feel that Katrina’s friendship with Rohit might just pay off. “Katrina is working with SRK in Yash Chopra’s film. She has become good friends with the actor as well. She might have been recommended by him as well,” added the source.

Rohit Shetty had initially planned to re make 1982 classic ‘Angoor’ with SRK but after the success of ‘RA.One’ SRK has shown keen interest in doing an action film.

“When Rohit decided to make an action film with Shah Rukh, he decided to change his heroine as well. Earlier he wanted Kareena to portray the role played by Moushumi Chatterjee in the original ‘Angoor’. But with the change in the script, he decided upon Katrina Kaif,” revealed another source.

Looks like another hit jodi is in the making! Wonder what ‘good friend’ Salman has to say about all this.

Katrina Kaif is bound to don a sexy sea beach attire in ‘Dhoom 3’, no matter how much she might beat her legs but she cannot get away from beach attire. Katrina has made clear to Aditya Chopra that she would not don bikini in the movie but to don a skimpy beach attire is the demand of the script. Esha Deol has donned beach attire in ‘Dhoom’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan showed her body in ‘Dhoom 32’ and now Kat has to do it for ‘Dhoom 3’.

A source revealed, “Though Katrina signed on the dotted line for Dhoom 3 only on condition that the bikini sequence be removed, they reluctantly removed the bikini. But the question of what she wears in lieu of the skimpy apparel has only now been resolved.”

Katrina Kaif left with no choice but will rather go for hot pants and top.

Says the source, “Aditya Chopra and director Vijay Krishna Acharya were not willing to do away with the sequence where Katrina was to be seen in beach wear.

The sequence was to be shot on an exotic beach. After she said no to wearing a two-piece, there was talk of doing away with that sequence altogether. But it is felt by the entire team that the beach location is lucky for the series.

Since Katrina is required for that sequence, her clothes have been suitable modified to go by her aesthetic comfort and the requirement of the sequence.”

The beautiful lass will be seen opposite Aamir Khan in ‘Dhoom 3’ and she will be in never seen before avatar.
